Sedleigh Road

The clients, having recently purchased a 2 storey house in East Putney, approached Office Sian to reconfigure their new home to suite their needs as a growing family.

This resulted in extensive structural changes to the ground and upper floors; a new front living room, and open plan kitchen and dining room with a ‘glass box’ extension for the ground floor, an enlarged family bathroom on the first floor and new ensuite to the loft bedroom.

The challenge to achieve good light penetration and an interesting visual and physical route to the centre of the house, given the deep set yet narrow plan arrangement, became the key design concept for the scheme.
