Nuit Blanche
Life ™© was a Major Category Competition Winning Entry for Toronto's Nuit Blanche Festival. Over 75,000 visitors experienced the Life ™© environment. As a temporary exhibit and urban intervention, the design sought to invoke what architectural theorist Jeremy Till calls 'Thick Time.'
The project was a constellation of spaces and events linked together by concepts of nocturnal states of consciousness and urban mentalities. As a phenomenological symphony, the experimental form presented the visitor with a voyage through three instantaneous moments of urban experiences that facilitate choice, participation, and epiphany.
